Data collection and use
We collect registration data and log data. Registration data is collected when you visit our site and sign up as a Publisher via our site and only includes personal information if you go through the Publisher sign up process to create an Account. Log data is collected when you interact with Real Recommendations Tools on a Publisher Site.
We collect and process this information in order to help us provide the Service to Publishers and Users. Our lawful basis for processing personal data is legitimate interests, as detailed in our Service Documentation, and on grounds that such processing is fair and lawful in accordance with Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulations.
In order to download and use the Plugin Code and the Service as a Publisher you must create an Account and provide us with personally identifiable information consisting of your name, email address and telephone number. This information is not shared with any third parties. In choosing to register with us you affirm that you are 13 years of age or older.
We track how you interact with links across the Service by redirecting click throughs. We do this to help improve the Service and to be able to share aggregate click statistics such as how many times a particular link was clicked.
When you use the Service hosted on a Publisher Site and/or where you click through to a third party website via the Service then please be aware that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for those policies.
We may use session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with the Service, to monitor aggregate usage by users and web traffic routing on the Service and to customize and improve the Service.
Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you exit your web browser. Persistent cookies are more permanent and are stored and remain on your computer until they are deleted. Persistent cookies delete themselves after a certain period of time but are renewed each time you visit the website. We do not store sensitive information such as account details in "persistent" cookies and cookies do not contain enough information to identify you.
Although most web browsers automatically accept cookies, some browsers' settings can be modified to decline cookies or alert you when a website is attempting to place a cookie on your computer and the Service may not function properly if you disable cookies.
We may receive information about you from third parties, such as other Users and Real Recommendations clients and ad partners. For example, other users may share or disclose information about you when they send a recommendation to you. Publishers may share information with us such as a browser cookie ID, mobile device ID, or cryptographic hash of a common account identifier (such as an email address), as well as demographic or interest data and content viewed or actions taken on a website or app.
